Transportation on the Island
Golf Carts are the main mode of transportation on the island of San Pedro; favored by locals and guests alike. Banyan Bay's tour desk recommends advance reservations. For added dependability they also recommend a GAS cart instead of an electrical one.
Requests can also be made upon arrival. Banyan Bay is an rental agent for a local golf-cart company, Carts Belize. Rentals are available hourly, half-day, full day and weekly and are priced accordingly.
Additional island transportation options include reasonably priced taxis, complimentary resort bicycles and the Coastal Express water-taxi (local service).
