Lamanai Mayan Ruin and River Tour
Lamanai is one of the largest Mayan sites in Belize, expanding over a huge expanse on the Belize New River, the Lamanai Mayan Center holds over 800 structures deep in the tropical forest. Lamanai (Submerged Crocodile in Mayan) was occupied as early as 1500bc. The small onsite museum where your Lamanai exploration begins. Once on the site, Lamanai holds precious artifacts spanning well over 2000 years of Mayan History.
Your trip will start at Banyan Bay Dock at 7:00am and you will cruise two major rivers, see small remote villages and see lots of birds and other wildlife in their native habitat. Then you will explore with knowledgeable guides the awesome ruins of Lamanai. Includes a breakfast snack on board, a lunch at the ruins and all drinks. A true jungle experience packed with a nature lovers array of birds and wildlife.
