Banyan Bay Suites, Ambergris Caye: Latin American countries will now have greater access for flights transiting from Panama to Belize thanks to a commercial interline agreement that was signed today between Copa Airlines and Tropic Air in Belize. At a Press Conference held at Sunbreeze Suites on Friday Morning, officials of both airline companies expressed their commitment to this partnership. Christophe Didier, Vice President of Global Sales for Copa Airlines stated, “We are excited to provide greater connectivity to our customers from 75 cities in the Americas offering the best regional on-time performance and service standards to all our customers.”
This agreement, with immediate effect, will allow travelers to purchase their connecting flights in one ticket and receive boarding passes for all stops, at their first check-in. “We enthusiastically welcome airline connectivity from Panama into the traveling Belize market,” said Marketing officials at Banyan Bay Suites, a premier resort on Ambergris Caye.
In September 2017, Tropic was admitted as a member of the Latin American Airlines Association (ALTA), after meeting its professional standards requirements.
