We provide complimentary transfers, via local taxi, to and from the San Pedro Airstrip or the local water taxi terminal. Upon arrival please take a taxi to the hotel and will be taking care of the fare on check in.
Travel time to the resort is approximately 5 minutes.
Golf Carts are the main mode of transportation on the island of San Pedro; favored by locals and guests alike. Banyan Bay’s tour desk recommends advance reservations.
Requests can also be made upon arrival. Banyan Bay is an rental agent for a local golf-cart company, Island Adventures or Carts Belize. Rentals are available hourly, half-day, full day and weekly and are priced accordingly.
Additional island transportation options include reasonably priced taxis, complimentary resort bicycles and the Coastal Express water-taxi (local service).
We have a full service internet station with high speed internet service and several computers available in our lobby for a minimal charge as well as wireless internet. Local and Long Distance phone service is provided in each room. The internet service is quite reliable and efficient.
Banyan Bay is a family oriented hotel but we do realize that part of your experience may involve some time away from the kids. To this end we have developed a roster of Babysitters, each with years of experience in child care and each vetted by our Management Team.
You can rest assured your children will be in good hands as you enjoy time offsite…or just a few yards away listening to live music at Rico’s Restaurant.
Our three-level pool has a large wading and play area exciting and safe for young children to play in. Children splash about, have loads of fun and never want to leave. The deep end is perfect for splashing and playing games with your older kids. Our attendants also serve drinks and food at the poolside.
With over a thousand feet of beach front, many consider this stretch of beach at Banyan Bay one of the best beaches on the island. It is a wonderful beach for the kids and we even have a salt water wading and snorkeling area for children.
We have a fully maintained beach sand court for family or group volley ball games on the beach, game ball provided free of charge to our guests.
We encourage play with the locals who consider volley ball to be one on their favorite beach side activities.

The San Pedro Fitness Center is about a 5 minute golf cart ride from the resort. They offer daily rates to non-members, weights, trainers, yoga, pilates classes and two tennis courts.

Our maids are known for their charming personalities, courtesy and professional manners. Your room will be made up everyday. Dry cleaning is not available on the island but for your casual clothes our maids can pick up your laundry and have it back in your room by same day.
Our tap water is potable in the rooms. It is desalinated water, perfectly safe. Restaurants use purified water for drinking and ice.
